วันนี้เกือบซวย….
ตื่นมาคอมเครื่องใหม่นี้เปิดไม่ติด!!!
คือเปิดสวิทช์แล้วไฟก็ขึ้น เสียงพัดลมก็ดังอ่ะนะ แต่หน้าจอมันบอก “No signal input” ไม่มีสัญญาณภาพเข้า โอ้แม่เจ้า เป็นไปได้งายยยย งายยย งายยยย!!!! พอลอง reset บ้าง กดปุ่ม power บ้าง มันก็บู๊ตเครื่องขึ้นมาใหม่ แต่ก็เที่ยวไปค้า่ง (freeze) ที่ตรงนู้นตรงนี้… แล้วบางทีพอเข้าไปถึง Windows ได้ แทนที่จะเข้าหน้าจอ login มันดันรีสตาร์ทเครื่องไปเลย

มืออาถรรพ์? จับอะไรก็พัง? คอมใหม่ใช้ 2 วันก็พังแล้ว????

แม้จะลนแค่ไหน แต่ประสบการณ์เก่าสอนเราว่า ถ้าคิดไม่ออกก็อย่าดันทุรัง… เพราะงั้นหลังจากที่เช็คสายเชื่อมต่อระหว่างเครื่องกับจอแล้วว่าแน่นหนาแน่ ๆ และปลั๊กเสียบอยู่ดีแล้วแน่ ๆ แต่คอมยังมีอาการเหมือนเดิม เราจึงหยุด…. หยุดอยู่แค่นั้น ปิดเครื่องไว้เลย รอให้น้องชายมาดูให้ (บ่ายละแต่ไม่รู้ตื่นยัง ไม่กล้าเคาะห้อง ฮ่า)
ปรากฏว่า จากที่เมื่อวานโวยวายไว้ในห้อง IRC ว่าเครื่องไม่มี MS Word น้องชายได้แอบซุ่มไปทำการโหลด pack MS Office มาให้… อู้ว… บริการทุกระดับประทับใจ แล้วระหว่างที่เราลงไปนั่งแซ่วอยู่ที่ชั้นล่าง กินนู่นกินนี่ไปเรื่อยเปื่อย น้องชายก็เข้ามาในห้อง เปิดคอม และค้นพบสาเหตุของการที่เครื่องติด ๆ ดับ ๆ…
นั่นคือ ปลั๊กรางงี่เง่าสุดกระจอกราคาถูก ที่น้องเราเคยบ่นว่ามันไม่ดี เสียบแล้วมีไฟแลบนั่นเอง
แต่เราดันทุรังใช้ต่อ เพราะ…

…. เออ เพราะโง่อ่ะ โง่
คือตอนแรกใช้เสียบแต่ปลั๊ก speaker ไง เลยไม่เดือดร้อน เพราะมันเป็นของเล็ก ๆ ใช้ไฟไม่มาก แต่ทีนี้พอเอาสายไฟของคอม และของจอ เสียบเข้าไปด้วย มันเลยมีปัญหาไฟตก (ที่ต้องใช้ปลั๊กนี้เพราะรูปลั๊กที่กำแพงมันมีไว้สำหรับปลั๊ก 2 ขา แต่ปลั๊กคอมทั้ง 3 สายของเรามันเป็นแบบ 3 ขาหมดเลย!) สรุปว่าโดนน้องทำหน้าบูดใส่แล้วสวดไปรอบหนึ่ง แล้วก็ได้ปลั๊กรางอย่างดีของน้องมาใช้ในห้องตัวเอง…

คราวหน้าไปห้าง จะหาซื้อปลั๊กรางแบบอันละ 399 มาใช้ ฮึ่ม!

Well, the new disaster almost came to me…. This new computer wouldn’t boot! Well, it DID boot, but most of the time, the monitor would say “No signal input” and sometimes though there was signal, and the monitor displayed things correctly, the image would freeze somewhere while booting Windows. And once it would reach the login screen, the computer would restarted itself.
WTF!!! Am I cursed or something? Whatever machine I touch must meet its doom?
Well, since I’ve learnt a few days ago that being too stubborn and doing redundant attempt to repair what’s beyond my knowledge would cause a bigger problem, I decided to shut it down and leave it to my brother..
When he found out (because he sought MS Office for me and came into my room to try to install it) I got scolded… *sob sob* Because the cause of the system failure was that I’ve been using cheap and sub-standard power hub!!!! The hub that my bro used to say that he saw sparks when trying to plug something in….
Yeah, my stupidity… I actually used that in my room because the speakers needed a plug with 3 holes…. While on my wall the socket only had 2 holes! And both the monitor’s plug and the CPU tower plug had 3 legs….. Plugging all these 3 things in the same sub-standard hub is a BIG mistake.
So well, my brother gave me his good-looking hub and fixed my problem.
Whew….
Fortunately this time nothing is broken…
Damn hub!!!!
(Hey, why are you blaming it on the hub…LMAO!)
(I think my brother must be very PROUD of me, heh)
